Jog – An indeed heaven

This is my second post in this blog. I love to trek; however, till now I’ve done a few that I wanted to share it here. First I’ll tell bout my unforgettable trip to shimoga that place is simply awesome.

I’m writing this blog after more than a year of my travel to jog, which is near shimoga. Its around 9.30 r 10.00 PM we left our house. We were totally five guys (prithvi, phani, manju, sunil, and me). We had our shimoga train at around 11. Early in the morning we were at the shimoga, we got fresh up and had our breakfast in prithvi’s aunt house. Then proceeded towards our dream trip, (to be honest v were still in dilemma btw to go either for kodachadri or jog).

Finally we made it to jog, since mungaru male movie had released recently and we have seen some, beautiful scenery, and actor ganesh’s pose in the mist. We wanted to replicate it, and showing off to everyone.

From shimoga, we went to sigandur (I think I spelled it rite), in btw we have to travel in a launch to cross the river, and it has been provided by Karnataka govt-. It’s really amazing, I have never traveled in a launch, and it’s a wonderful experience to go in launch. We all full enjoyed it to core, at the other end of the river there is one small canteen, we had some pakoda and biscuit. Nothing more is there in sigandur, except a temple and a backwater.

In return we came to Sagara; we had our worst so called lunch and moved towards jog at around 4.30. As we were moving towards jog it is completely drizzling. I really can’t believe when I stepped out of the bus, it is completely covered with mist. We can’t see what’s coming against us.

We all went to nearby youth hostel, and got fresh up, and started searching for a hotel for our dinner. Finally we got bar and restaurant we ended up boozing heavily, and moved to our room.

Next day morning we went to see jog falls, started to move towards the bottom. Since its downfall we didn’t had much strain, and reached the bottom in 20-25 mins. From there two of my friends stayed back and didn’t come forward. It’s really slick; we can’t put our feet on the rock, because it drizzles 24/7, we were literally crawling and it’s really dangerous, not for life but to our beautiful and precious teeth. To some extent we three went and couldn’t go further as there is no grip and we came back.

I was on cloud nine, I can’t express my happiness, joy, and it was a blasting experience. Moving upwards it takes a lot of time and since we didn’t had our breakfast too. We took lots of break in btw.

Coming to our real agenda of the trip, we hired an omni- 40 bucks per head. He will show four spots, one is raja falls, second is rani falls, and third is some Mahatma Gandhi power station, lastly hanging bridge.

Raja falls is the main one; we were at the top of the jog falls, we were luckily becoz no mist was covered when we have reached the top. And started enjoying to our core, and started to search for the place where MM movie has shoot.

Next we went to rani falls, from there we can see the people going towards the bottom of the falls, took some snaps and moved to the next place. Next one is just a view of power station from far distance. On the last spot we told him we had been there last night under the sway of drink. He dropped us to our room. We finally came to the end of our trip. Had lunch and took bus to the shimoga. From shimoga we took night train to reach Bangaluru.

Last but not the least; I personally liked two things in my trip. One is the bus, there we found all private bus, and that to have conductors, they use to change during frequent stops, I really amazed how will he keep knowing who took the ticket or not.

Secondly girls, they are distinctive, they are not like Bangaluru gals. Even though they are not so beautiful they are delightful, elegant and charm. Hats off shimoga. I love to visit it one more time.
